It was a pretty easy project. Basically, you cut out the shoulders and turn the shirt upside down. Then you use a different shirt to make the wide waistband. If anyone is interested in a tutorial, let me know. I can make another one and actually take pictures of the before and the process, which I neglected to do this time.

I love all the little frills on the bottom!
Anyway, I'm excited to do more with my old clothes - things I've been hanging onto for years (some since high school!) but don't really wear anymore because they're out of style, and they don't fit anyway. I can give myself a whole new wardrobe without having to go out a buy a lot of clothes! Well, maybe not an entire wardrobe, but I will enjoy getting to add new pieces to my existing list of clothes that I'll actually wear. :-)

That is really cool! I love how you keep finding ways to use old clothes to make new clothes.
You crack me up :)
So cool! You are a machine with that sewing stuff! :) I love it!
That's way cool. I would like to have that web site.
My sewing machine has spiders nesting in it, I'm sure.... Poor, sad, neglected little thing! This is awesome to see all the projects you are doing to keep yourself busy. My favorite project is currently to find all the best napping places in the house. And to see how many times in a week I can replace the toilet paper! (Darn kids....) You amaze me!
Before I read your post I saw your pic and I said to myself I really like that skirt it is really cool looking. And then I read your post and thought genius! Love it!
I would love to see how to do that. Maybe you can do another one and post the step by step pictures.
Thanks!
