Weird.
So we put the kids in the stroller, grabbed a toy truck and a little ball, and headed out the door. We ended up going to the local college campus, you know, the one that I have raved about in the past because it's so pretty. We walk through it every Sunday on the way to Church, and really like it. Anyway, we got to a shaded, grassy area and unloaded. Thomas had fun playing with the leaves he found on the ground, and Jeff and Zaylee got a game going where Jeff would throw the ball really far and Zaylee would run to get it. Yeah, we were letting her use up all her energy and wear herself out so she would go to sleep really easily tonight (p.s. - it worked).
Here's one of the buildings on campus. The view from where we were playing was so gorgeous, and the lighting was good too.
On the way home, I remembered that it's Monday evening, so I turned it into Family Home Evening by having a little discussion about how God gives us nature - grass and trees, and how he also gave men knowledge to be able to make things like the beautiful buildings and landscaping and stuff.
All in all, it was an enjoyable walk.

Hey, you posted! And I thought you said you weren't going too.... ;-)
Sounds like a great FHE. You did better than I did, I never have energy for coming up with a lesson and all that at the end of the day.
Well, I didn't post about all the stuff I said I wouldn't (you know, the messy apartment, the sitting around doing nothing while the kids watched movies, all that stuff).
I love walks! The weather here has been so mild for summer we've been taking advantage of it as much as we can. Last night, my husband took our 3 year old and our dog on a walk... and I got 20 minutes of peace and quiet to water my flowers and just sit quietly. It was bliss!
Sounds like you had a great time. It looks so beautiful there.
Nice! Aren't walks the perfect ways to end the day??
We went for a walk too. We walked down to the local park and let the kids run around and play and then we walked to the local ice cream shop and had some ice cream.
Going on walks with my family is one of my favorite things. Cliche as that might sound.
I used to take more walks with Emily, I need to get back in the habit - I love them in the cool of the evening.
