Just a quick update on the binky situation with Thomas. I decided to bite the bullet and take the binky away completely - except for naptime and bedtime. When he's not sleeping, I just put it away where he can't see it. How is it working? Apparently it's out of sight, out of mind with Thomas. He isn't really any fussier than usual. As long as I'm not constantly trying to take the pacifier away, he doesn't care. And since he doesn't have it in the first place, I'm not constantly trying to take it away. So it really isn't turning out as difficult as I thought it would be.
I guess I was just depending too much on the pacifier. Thomas wasn't the one who really needed it - I was! And now that I've made the decision to only give it to him for sleeping, the transition has been relatively painless, and we're all happier. Yay!

Yay for you!! It is amazing how much we depend on those little things to keep our little ones happy.
That's great that this is going about as easy as Zaylee! Usually it is the mom that is more attached. It is easier to shove it in their mouth than entertain them sometimes. Of course, when you have multiple kids, you do anything for peace and quiet! :-) Way to go!
