Mishap #1: When I wake up this morning, Thomas is screaming. I check on him - once again, Zaylee has climbed up into his crib and is sitting on him, forcing his head into the mattress. This seems to be a favorite activity of hers. I lose my temper and we start the day poorly.
Mishap #2: I take the kids on a walk to the park. Zaylee sits on the swing and enjoys herself for a while. Then she falls off.
Mishap #3: Taking such a long walk (1 mile each way) gives me a migraine.
Mishap #4: After Thomas is finished eating lunch, he squirms out of his seat. And falls about two and a half feet to the floor. Headfirst. He is definitely not pleased with this.
Mishap #5: Zaylee is opening the fridge and slamming it shut over and over. I tell her to stop. She doesn't. I shut the door firmly - right on her hand, which she chose to stick in the fridge at just the right moment. She is definitely not pleased with this.
Mishap #6: I am checking blogs on the computer when I notice the kids are being a little too quiet. I walk into the kitchen and find them playing in a huge pile of flour, all over the floor. They are having a blast. I have a conniption.
I can't wait to find out what mishap #7 will be.

Oh Steph.....sorry you are having it a little rough today. I really don't like those days. If I have to yell before breakfast you know it's going to be a bad one. Don't worry, I have slammed William's hand in lots of things. He is fast and it sneaks in there right before I close it. And mine are always falling on their head somehow. Nathan has taken to wearing his bike helmet inside just for fun, and it's actually nice because I haven't had to kiss a bonked head 50 times a day! (Now I just have to unbuckle it 20 times a day) Hope your evening goes better, and if it doesn't, call me and I'll make you laugh over it all! :-)
Sorry about the rough day. Hopefully it's one of those that you'll be able to look back on and laugh about. If not, bed time should be soon and you can enjoy your quiet time with hopes of a better day tomorrow.
OUCH! Bummer deal...
it's so tough to have those sour kind of days!
Hoping for a good night's rest and for you to be able to get off to a better start tomorrow.
Hi there, girl!!! I haven't been blogging as much (both kids home for the summer has been craaazy)! :) Anyway, I must tell you, your "mishaps" were pretty funny to read! :)) I am sure they weren't so funny as they were happening, but they certainly were funny to read! I have been there (well, all of us moms have probably been there) so we know how you feel! I hope things have been easier and there was "no mishap #7!!!" :))
Btw, both my boys stopped taking naps at around the age of three also. The same as Zaylee - if they took a nap (even a short one) - they would be up FOREVER at night! I did the same as you and said no way to naps. It made the nighttime routine easier!
Take care and I will update my blog soon!!! :)
