Here we go again.

Well, it was nice while it lasted. I've let the dishes build up again. The kitchen is overrun with dirty dishes, and it's miserable in there!

Tomorrow morning I'm going to make a big effort to get them all done, so I can have my kitchen back. And then maybe "I'll clean the living room. It really is true that your home reflects your mood, or vice versa. When my home is cluttered and dirty, it really makes me feel on edge and uncomfortable. I'm more irritable and get angry easier. That's not to say that I'm always all sunshine and roses just because the apartment happens to be clean, but it's easier to be cheerful when you can walk from one end of the living room to the other without stepping on at least five toys. It's easier to make a nice meal when you don't have to search through the cupboards for an alternative to the dishes you planned on using, because they're all sitting in the sink covered with other dirty dishes.

Wish me luck. Tomorrow I'll be cleaning.

Maybe I'll call you and we'll clean together. I finally did a load of dishes today, we have been eating off paper and plastic for a little while. I just haven't felt like cleaning. But I need a way to stay out of the fridge, get a work out, and get a clean house at the same time, and I can't clean at the gym so I will clean my house! At least neither of us are perfect housekeepers, so the other one doesn't have to feel bad about "letting the house go". It's not "letting the house go", it's simply allowing the house to revert back to it's natural and more primitve state! :-)

I can totally identify w/the clean house thing!!! I can get mine looking "decent," but before I know it, "bam," back to messy again! lol!!! I am also the kind of person who will let my house go in order to have fun! I hate to miss watching my kids play outside 'cause I am stuck inside cleaning! I am known to let it go as long as I can so I can spend my time w/the kids. I do, about once a week, have a big cleaning day where I do a LOT and those days do feel soooo good! :)) As far as the dishes go, that is the one thing you can only put off so long. Like you said, if they aren't clean, it can really effect your meals. Mine pile up pretty quickly. I will be doing a huge pile of dishes myself on Monday morning, so I will think of you when I am doing them!!! :))
Take care!!!!!

Oh, it is so hard to keep on top of things! It sure makes us feel better when they are done though:) Keep up the good work though, at some point it gets easier...I think:)

Good luck with the dishes! It sounds like a big cleaning day for a lot of us. I am doing a major kitchen cleaning today. It is so bad. So, best of luck to all of us cleaning today!

AMEN!

I hate feeling like I'm lazy, but I also hate washing dishes by hand. This broken dishwasher thing is not my cup of tea! (neither would your permenant situation be!) So I cleaned my living room today, but am dreading dishes. And crying 'why me' to whatever governs children.

I with you on the cleaning thing - I always feel better when things are neat and tiday so I don't know why I let things get so dirty and cluttered. (You wouldn't want to see my house right now). You've got some great motivation to make some great progress!
