And then attached the top.
By the time I got that done, it was time for Audrey to eat and Jeff to go to work. So the bookcase is now waiting patiently in the shed until I get time to work on it again. Having to start and stop so much, this project is going to take me a while. But with this little cutie helping me...
I'm sure it will turn out great!

Looking good! Isn't it fun to make something, and feel accomplished and proud? I can't wait to see the finished product, and your bed, eventually.
What? Thomas without the hat? What happened?!? :-)
It can be tough having to stop and take care of munchkins when you're in the middle of a project like that. I think that's what makes it all the better to finally get it done. Teaches patience, for sure...
How thick is your plywood backing? 1/4 inch? I think if you were really careful with the jigsaw and didn't put all the weight on the wood it would work fine. A circular saw would just rip it up. Even a handsaw would be easier than using that tiny thing from the last blog. Now that's dedication to DIY! :-)
Totally unrelated to this post LOL But I've noticed a lot of your etsy stuff has kind of a goth feel to it. If you'd like me to model some for you to take pics it might help it to open up to new clients... I have the dark eye makeup, black/blue hair and black clothes that goes along with that type of lace necklaces, bracelets, etc :)
I don't even think I've blogged about me dying my hair blue... I should LOL
