I took Michelle's advice from my previous post. I had asked how to handle potty training at church, and she said to warn the teacher, and go take Zaylee to the potty every 20 to 30 minutes during nursery. She ended up soiling her panties during the first hour of nursery, and wetting them during the second hour. Luckily I had brought, like, four extra pairs so I was well prepared. I think, though it was kind of messy and disappointing to have to change her underwear during church, that I will continue to do it this way. I want her to learn right off the bat that she is expected to keep her undies clean and dry during church just the same as at home. I think it will be an uphill battle, but we will come off victorious sooner or later! Hopefully sooner...
The ward organist is going on vacation for the next three weeks and has asked me to sub for her during Sacrament Meeting. I'm so glad we have Grandma's organ for me to practice on! It will be neat to be playing for church again. I was ward organist at our student ward up at BYU-I the year I met Jeff, and it is so neat! I look forward to the having an excuse to play a pipe organ again. I love pipe organs! And I'm passing my love of the organ on to little Zaylee. I let her play on the organ this afternoon (making sure she was very gentle, of course!) and she really enjoyed being able to make all that sound come out!

Anyway, it's late and I'm tired, so I'll just keep this post short by ending it right.....
....NOW!

Good luck on the toilet training! And have fun subbing on the organ :) I never learned to play the organ and my piano skills only allowed me to play very basic songs for Sunday School about 14 years ago. Now they're basically only good for knowing whether or not Kellen is playing his music right! I do occasionally pick up the music and play some of the old stuff, though.
By the way, thanks for your suggestions on my input post. I loved the little mice! I'm thinking I'll wait to see what other input I get and then do a poll on my favorites...
Toilet training always has such ups and downs. Consistancy is the key:)
Glad you get to play the organ:)
Good try on Sunday! I think my kids were easier becuase Oren was 4 and Nathan was 3 1/2 when I started them. But my kids weren't ready at all at Zaylee's age, that's awesome that she is. I think you're doing a great job. When I brought up toilet training a few years ago, Mom flat out told me not to ask her for advice because she knew nothing about it. I responded she trained 8 kids, and she retorted back "I have no idea how I did it!" :-) The only thing she would tell me is to be consistent.
I'm glad you get to sub in church. You're really good, and that's great you get to do what you love on a really nice instrument!
Keep it up w/ the potty...I love your enthusiam and hope I can be like that when I get Evie going.
Have fun w the oran this week!!!
It's great to pass on musical talent, especially considering how much our entire family loves to sing and make noise!
