As I lay in bed this morning trying to decide whether to finish waking up or go back to sleep, my reverie was interrupted by Zaylee, emitting a series of happy, high-pitched squeaks, squawks, and squeals. I was going to go in and scold her for being so noisy so early in the morning (8:00, the nerve!), when I listened more closely. I realized she was merely mimicking the cheerful chirping of birds outside. Spring is here, and Zaylee was singing along with those who considered it their duty to inform us of its approach. Who could be mad at that?

That is so cute! I can't think of a better way to wake up. I don't like crying in the morning, but cute little chirps I don't mind at all. I love when I hear William chatting to himself, or his blanket, or whomever he is talking too, first thing in the morning. Those are usually our better days.
