I wish we had a digital camera. I see everyone else's posts with all their cute (and frequent) pics and bemoan the fact that I can only take and post pictures once a week, or whenever we visit Mom and Dad. Prioritizing our money is difficult though. Do we use our tax refund to get a camera, or do we save it and use it to live off of until Jeff gets a job and we get some income? They say money doesn't make you happy, but I think it could sure cheer me up a bit!

I say get the digital camera! You can find a NICE one for under $150--and you are clearly going to get much more back in taxes. Think of all the memories you are missing!!! That to me is worth it! :)
I agree with Rachel. We bought our digital camera right before Emma was born and it was money well spent. I think we paid $120 on sale at Walmart. Just think of it as an investment. Most digital cameras allow you to take video too, so you get two great investments for the price of one.
I have to say I love my digital camera. Steve had to push me into the digital world, originally, but I have grown to love the convenience of the instant pictures and being able to post them on our blog so that everyone can see them. Just a word of caution: I would look carefully at the amount you're getting back on your tax return and budget your camera accordingly because you don't want to regret that purchase in a few months by spending more on the camera than you have to burn.
It is definetly nice to have. Of course, paying rent is good too. Kodak has a decent little "easy share" (that is the model name of the camera) for about $90-$100 at Walmart. Walmart has other brands too, just make sure, if you go ahead and get one, that you get one that has a zoom on it. Otherwise you are just going to want to throw it across the room when it won't take decent pictures.
Just another thought...when you go digital you spend money on the camera but then you're not throwing money away developing pictures that didn't turn out. Also, you might look on craigslist and you can probably get a good used one for cheap. I've seen a lot of good deals on there from people who are just wanting to upgrade to something fancier.
