Potty Training
I have decided to start potty training Zaylee. I've been putting it off thus far because of all the big changes that have been going on in our lives for the past several months - namely, Thomas being born and us moving two times. But now that we're in our apartment and things are starting to calm down a bit, I'm going to start introducing Zaylee to the process of going potty. I got online last night and ordered a couple cute little potty training books, you know, the ones where the little kid learns about how to go potty, has accidents, has successes, and finally gets to pick out their own special grown-up underpants. Those should get here in a few days. I'm a bit nervous about starting this, but I'll just take it slowly, a little at a time, and brace myself for more stinky laundry than I already have. If anyone has any suggestions, tips, advice, warnings, etc. in relation to potty training, I would love to hear (read) them. Thanks!

GOOD LUCK! Just stick with it--that is the most important part! And be ready for LOTS and lots of laundry! :)
Rachel said it, Good Luck. And be consistent. I am NOT and Evie sometimes doesn't know what I want, so I really need to get on the ball.
Good luck! This is one thing that I do not look forward to at all. Maybe if I wait long enough Emma will just potty train herself...
Well, Oren trained himself, although he was 4 1/2 at the time. he wasn't ready until then. And we are working with Nathan, who can do it just fine but doesn't tell us when he needs to go. Start slow, I like to sit my kids on the potty and read them a book. Sometimes they end up going, which is awesome. If they do, you can talk about what they did. Never spank or scold for accidents. That will always backfire on you. (When they are 5 it's okay though :-) ) Talk about the potty and being a big girl, you can point out that Thomas can't use it yet, just her. I'll call you later and you can ask lots of questions. I also have a book I can bring up next time we see you, if you would like.
All of my tips and comments on toilet training can be found on Ashley's blog under a potty training post that she put up. It's a long road, but so worth it when you're done; at least that's how I remember it with Kellen... We're not there yet with Maddi :)
