Another Long Day

Well, the first day of Conference is over. The potato salad and lemon-lime cake went over really well. The salad is all gone, and the cake is more than half finished.

The kids were pretty good during the Conference sessions, though a bit fussier than usual, due to their colds. Around the beginning of the second session, Zaylee started crying and pointing to her ear. I wonder if maybe she has an ear infection. If it keeps bothering her I'll try to get her in to the doctor's to have it looked at. As it is, right now both kids have a fever. Tonight was hard on them. We stayed at Mom and Dad's house all evening, and didn't get home until after 10:00. Zaylee went right to bed, but Thomas is still awake. He's calm now, but if I put him down he screams. I should say he tries to scream, but he's been crying so much this evening that he's rather hoarse and can't manage much. But he tries. And just as I was typing this, Zaylee started coughing, so I don't think she's asleep yet. I really don't hold out much hope for sleep tonight. Well, I hope for it, but I don't expect it. yuck. And I have a migraine.

I'm sorry, this post is kind of rambling and unorganized, because I'm really tired. We really did have a nice day until this evening. Just being away from home all day and having colds caught up with us all and made it hard toward the end of the day. We'll keep the kids drugged up on Tylenol (within the correct prescription bounds, of course) and keep our fingers crossed that we'll at least get some rest tonight. I think tomorrow we'll just stay home and watch Conference online, instead of going to Mom and Dad's house again. That will be easier on all of us.

Good night. I hope.

Oh, ouch. I hope today went a little better for you. Poor Thomas! I keep trying to yell at my kids and it doesn't work, I am losing my voice because of all the coughing from my allergies that just kicked in. It is so frustrating when you want to be heard, but can't make any noise. Especially when you are a baby. I am glad your cake and salad went over well. Does Thomas still have the runs?
