Our Sunday

Let's see, where to start? I guess I'll start with our Sacrament Meeting talks. For mine, I basically just printed out the post I did earlier about General Conference and prayer, changed it around a little bit, and added a short intro and my testimony at the end. It took about 7 1/2 minutes, so was just about right. So many people came up to me during Church and said they enjoyed my talk and could totally relate (well, most of the mothers could relate, the men just said "Enjoyed your talk"). Jeff's talk was really good too, especially considering the fact that he hasn't been feeling well for two weeks! He's finally getting over his flu, but is still pretty wiped out. He finally wrote his talk last night and was able to pull it all together this morning and give a good talk. Way to go Jeff!

This afternoon I was able to take one of the pictures I missed yesterday - Thomas sleeping on the floor. Zaylee was in their room taking a nap and I didn't want to wake her up when I put Thomas down. So I kept putting off his nap and he took matters into his own hands, falling asleep on the floor.Another picture I wanted to take yesterday was Jeff and Zaylee outside walking together. Well, today the weather was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and we decided to take a walk this evening. So I got to take that picture too. Here's a few other pictures I snapped during our walk:
Zaylee likes to pick flowers - dandelions are some of her favorites.I took a couple nature pictures, just practicing the photography skills.Thomas started getting pretty tired and put himself to sleep again.Zaylee also go tired as we were heading home. Jeff offered to carry her. She let him hold her long enough for me to snap a couple pictures, but then insisted on walking the rest of the way. She's very independent. All in all we've had a nice, relaxed, enjoyable Sunday. It's nice to have this day of rest before going back to the grind on Monday - classes for Jeff and dishes for me!

I like your pic of the leaves and tree branches. And Thomas sleeping on the floor is too cute. I have those moments when I see my kids napping in odd places and think "I'm such a bad mom!" but, then I look on the bright side. At least they are smart enough to know they need a nap! Glad Jeff is feeling so much better...
