We did our laundry at my parents' house today, because Jeff was sick on Thursday. There were so many things that I wanted to take pictures of, but I left the camera at home, in all the bustle of getting everything ready for a day at Mom and Dad's. I couldn't use Mom and Dad's camera because theirs has a problem with the memory card.
This will be another "list" post, like the happy post I just did. I'll list the situation, and then the photo opportunities that I missed - the pictures I would have taken. Oh, I wish I had brought my camera!
1. I mentioned to Mom that the acrylics she had given to me were dried out. She got out her larger set of acrylics to check if they were still good. She opened the Burnt Sienna, but upon squeezing the tube discovered that it too was dried up. Assuming that the other colors were probably dried as well, she grabbed the red tube and gave it a big squeeze. It was not dried out.
~Photo op: Mom's hand, covered in bright red paint.
~Photo op: The small wooden frame that Mom dug out of her closet. Mom painting the frame red, using her hand as a pallete.
~Photo op: The finished frame, now a bright cheerful red. When I commented on the ingeniousness of using the spilled paint to actually paint something, instead of just rinsing it off, Mom said, "Remember, you're part Scotch - the Scotts never waste anything." This was something her grandmother often told her.
2. This afternoon, Thomas was crawling around the living room cheerfully, making noise and playing with toys, and just having a grand time. He then started getting a little bit fussy, so when he crawled up to the chair I was sitting in, I gave him his pacifier. Satisfied, he laid down.
~Photo op: Thomas, curled up next to my chair, sleeping on the floor.
3. Jeff and Zaylee started getting bored. The laundry was still going, I was reading a Better Homes and Gardens magazine, Thomas was sleeping. So Jeff took Zaylee outside.
~Photo op: Jeff and Zaylee walking around outside, hand in hand. It was very sweet.
4. During dinner, I was feeding Thomas some pureed green beans, and trying to eat my stroganoff at the same time. My brother Morgan was finished with his dinner, and offered to finish feeding Thomas.
~Photo op: Morgan holding Thomas on his lap, holding his arms down firmly because Thomas likes to grab his bowl and dump it all over. Thomas eagerly leaning forward to accept a huge spoonful of green goo.
5. I got onto my blog and decided to print out the post on what I learned from General Conference, so I'll have it when I give my talk tomorrow.
~Photo op: The first page of my talk. Apparently, someone was printing something on blue card stock, and left a sheet in the printer. My first page is dark blue. Janelle, looking on the bright side, said, "At least you'll always know which page is first!"
6. We had some strawberries with our lunch today. One look at those strawberries and I was wanting that camera.
~Photo op: A HUGE strawberry that took me over 10 bites to eat! It was enormous!!
That's it, from now on that camera is going to be glued to my hand! I never want to forget it again!

I love how you exlained everything! WOW!! Am glad you learned your "lesson"... :)But I think that you probably have it all captured SO nice in your heart and mind!
Wow, that sounds like an awesome day! I love when you guys say everything you did during the day, and you come up with some cite way to do it. That was a really fun post to read. I could almost see the pictures you didn't take in my mind! I had the camera, but it was out in the car, so I have no pictures from this weekend either.
This is me way too often. Sometimes I think it would be nice to have a second camera to leave in the diaper bag. Oh well. It sounds like you guys had a fun day anyway.
